How We Started

Nocturne Bloom began in 2016 when our founder, Ana Horvat, noticed a pattern while consulting for hotel groups across the Adriatic. Properties were investing in automation systems designed for residential homes or commercial office buildings. Neither fit the unique rhythm of hospitality.

Hotels need systems that understand occupancy fluctuations, seasonal demands, and the balance between operational efficiency and guest comfort. Ana assembled a team of engineers and hospitality consultants to build something purpose-made for this environment.

Our first project was a 35-room boutique hotel in Split. The owner wanted climate control that would reduce energy waste during low occupancy without making guests feel like they were staying in an economy lodge. That project established our core philosophy: technology should serve the guest experience, not the other way around.
